Brows mapped to your face, not to a stencil
Every brow appointment starts with mapping and a colour match, so the shape suits your bone structure and the pigment suits your skin tone. Brow and lip appointments are booked for two hours so nothing is rushed.
Brow & lip services
Not sure which technique? Microblading and nano brows both create hair strokes; powder and ombre are shaded. Which one holds best depends on your skin type and how much definition you want. That is what the consultation is for — and if permanent makeup is not right for you, Maya will say so.
Permanent makeup is not suitable for everyone. It is not performed on anyone under 18, during pregnancy, with a known pigment allergy, or while taking blood-thinning medication, and it may need to wait if you are diabetic or recovering from illness. Tell Maya about any medical condition when you book.
Skin treatments built on an actual skin analysis
Facials and advanced treatments begin with a professional skin analysis, then a plan built around what your skin is doing — congestion, texture, pigmentation, or loss of firmness. Skin appointments are booked for one hour; the medical facial is 45 minutes.

A licensed esthetician, not a chain
Maya is a licensed esthetician with over seven years of experience in advanced skincare and permanent makeup, working from a private room at 315 5th Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. Her approach is deliberately gentle and unhurried — one client at a time, a real consultation before any treatment, and an honest answer about what will and will not help.
The studio has 87 Google reviews at a 4.9 average, and nearly every one of them has a reply. It is two blocks from Herald Square, a short walk from Penn Station, and open Wednesday through Sunday with full weekend hours.
Booking, current prices and this month's offers all live on the main site: mayasbeautyskin.com. You can also see this month's special offers or go straight to online booking.

Brow and skin questions
What is the difference between microblading and nano brows?
Both create fine hair strokes. Microblading is done by hand with a blade; nano brows use a fine digital needle, which is gentler on the skin and often holds better on oily or mature skin. Maya will recommend one over the other after looking at your skin type and your natural brow.
How long does a brow appointment take?
Brow and lip appointments are booked for two hours. That includes mapping, colour matching and the procedure itself. Facials and skin treatments are booked for one hour, and the medical facial for 45 minutes.
Is permanent makeup safe for everyone?
No. Permanent makeup is not performed on anyone under 18, during pregnancy, with a known allergy to pigments, or while taking blood-thinning medication, and it may need to be postponed if you are diabetic or recovering from illness such as COVID-19. Tell Maya about any medical condition or medication when you book so she can advise you properly.
Do I need a consultation first?
Every appointment starts with one. For skin treatments it is a professional skin analysis; for brows it is mapping and a colour match. If what you booked is not the right treatment for you, Maya will tell you before anything starts.
